Some scholars of music history believe that rock music emerged as an expression of the younger generation’s rejection of the traditions and demands of their older relatives. In addition, rock, in some cases, is defined as a lifestyle, not just music. The main feature of this style is the resistance to the imperfections of the social system. By the way, it is the older generation that is convinced that rock musicians are all alcoholics and drug addicts. Of course, it is impossible to argue with the fact that among the adherents of rock there have never been people who are addicted to psychotropic drugs, but the biggest popularity was achieved all the same by those who do not abuse these drugs.

Numerous studies of scientists around the world have shown that the aggressive manner of performing rock songs has a negative impact on wild and non-living nature. Everyone remembers the pictures of the snowflakes that were made from the water frozen while playing rock music. As for its effect on the human psyche, psychologists have proven its negative value. They believe that at rock concerts, under the influence of high volume, listeners fall into a trance-like state and lose control over themselves.

Anyway, statistics show that it is rock music that most gifted teenagers listen to. As studies have shown, rock helps them overcome the difficulties of adolescence, as well as cope with problems in communicating with peers.
